Actor Takeru Sato appeared at a stage greeting in Tokyo on September 23rd to thank fans for the huge success of his starring film, "Rurouni Kenshin: The Legend Ends" (directed by Keishi Otomo). "Rurouni Kenshin" is based on the manga by Nobuhiro Watsuki. The story follows Kenshin (played by Sato), feared as the "Battousai the Assassin" during the late Edo period. After the Meiji Restoration, he becomes a wandering samurai ("Rurouni") who has sworn not to kill, battling various enemies while searching for a new way of life in this new era. "The Legend Ends" is the sequel to "Kyoto Inferno," and depicts a grand-scale battle against a new enemy seeking to conquer Japan.
