Beatriz Calvo, representative of the Spanish Association of Specialists in Occupational Medicine (AEEMT), explains in this video which measures should be prioritized in the workplace to prevent non-melanoma skin cancer. This type of cancer is one of the most common in Spain and is strongly associated with work activity. However, it remains an invisible problem in the professional sphere. In fact, in 2024, an estimated 14,800 cases were reported in Spain, representing more than 7% of all cancer diagnoses, and it is estimated that 3 out of 10 people are exposed to ultraviolet radiation in their work environment. Furthermore, the incidence has increased by 40% in the last four years. It is a growing occupational risk, but largely preventable. This report is part of the MÁS QUE IDEAS Foundation's "Look After Your Skin" initiative and presents the conclusions of a multidisciplinary focus group organized last December and supplemented with virtual interviews.
