Presentamos el informe “Cáncer de Piel no melanoma: exposición solar y salud laboral”
Non-melanoma skin cancer is one of the most common cancers in Spain and is strongly associated with work activity. However, it remains an invisible problem in the workplace. In fact, in 2024, an estimated 14,800 cases were diagnosed in Spain, representing more than 7% of all cancer diagnoses. It is estimated that 3 out of 10 people are exposed to ultraviolet radiation in their work environment. Furthermore, the incidence has increased by 40% in the last four years. It is a growing occupational risk, but largely preventable. This report is part of the MÁS QUE IDEAS Foundation's "Look After Your Skin" initiative and presents the conclusions of a multidisciplinary focus group organized last December and supplemented with virtual interviews.
