Haarlem neemt afscheid van kunstenaar en muzikant Hannes Kuiper (79) | Haarlem105
Haarlem artist and musician Hannes Kuiper passed away last Saturday. He was 79. For many years, Kuiper was a striking figure in the city, recognizable by his hat and long gray hair. Many Haarlem residents know Kuiper from his artworks in public spaces. He created the work "Bird's Flight" in the playground at Wilsonsplein and the artwork "1234567" at Haarlem Spaarnwoude station. The latter, commissioned by ProRail in 2002, symbolizes the connection between humanity and the cosmos.
