Eating Cambodian Roast Pig & Ants with Locals | Siem Reap 🇰🇭

On my final day in Siem Reap, Cambodia, I spent the day exploring with locals and experiencing parts of Cambodia that most tourists never see. The adventure begins far from the city at a local restaurant serving Cambodian roast pig, where fresh pork is carved straight from the spit. Alongside the meal, I also try some unusual local flavours, including a sauce mixture containing ants, which locals say adds both flavour and protein. While enjoying the food, we meet a friendly dog looking for scraps before continuing our journey through the Angkor region. Along the way, a monkey unexpectedly jumps onto our vehicle, creating one of the funniest moments of the trip. As the sun goes down, we head into Pub Street, Siem Reap's famous nightlife district. We explore the busy streets, watch rolled ice cream being made fresh on a freezing cold plate, browse the local shops, and finish the evening playing pool in a local bar while rain pours through the leaking roof above us.
