This documentary takes us back to the 1985 Palace of Justice siege. Thirty years after the destruction of the Palace of Justice, Señal Colombia, RTVC, presents the documentary "28 Hours Under Fire" this Friday at 8 p.m. The documentary recalls the horror of the bloody assault by a subversive commando on Colombia's main courthouse. Produced in 2008, this 52-minute special recreates the events of the Palace of Justice siege in November 1985 and attempts to uncover what really happened during the takeover. On one hand, this documentary narrates the history and background of the M-19 guerrilla group that led the movement to plan and seize the Palace of Justice. On the other hand, it presents testimonies from witnesses, survivors, and expert investigators who recount the long process of investigating these events that marked the country's history. Through animation and graphics, this 52-minute special recreates the events of the Palace of Justice siege in November 1985 and attempts to reveal what really happened during the takeover. On one hand, the documentary narrates the history and background of the M-19 that led the movement to plan and seize the Palace, and on the other, the testimonies of witnesses, survivors, and expert researchers recount the long process of investigating this event.
