the most famous deer kingdom is there (but you should avoid it)

solo trip to nara and it's a wild mix of chaos and calm. sun was out the whole time, perfect light for wandering. the deer are everywhere strolling into temples like they pay rent there but around them it's packed of tourists, and it kind of kills the vibe. so i went off to some smaller, lesser known temples too and that's where nara really hit different. no crowds, just quiet halls and old wood smell. kept the real sound so you can actually feel the atmosphere, birds, gravel, distant chatter, all of it. lesson learned for your next trip to nara : skip the famous spots if you want the calm version of nara. 📍 nara, japan 🎥 filmed on fujifilm xm5 ❤️ 125 friends 🧍 solo trip 24-26 november 2025
