Montessori Minds Childcvare and Kindergarten: National Reconciliation Week 2026

"All In." What began as a black canvas and a collection of cut-outs has become something truly meaningful. At the centre sits Montessori Minds, surrounded by children holding hands in a circle, representing our community and the belief that everyone belongs. Around them, each symbol tells a story: 🤎 Animal-inspired Aboriginal art celebrating connection to Country and culture. 🤎 Handprints and footprints representing our presence on the land and the paths we walk together. 🤎 Hearts symbolising kindness, respect, and the love we share with one another. 🤎 Leaves reminding us of our connection to nature and all living things. 🤎 Boomerangs representing the good we send into the world and the way it returns to us. Each child selected a symbol that spoke to them and shared what it meant in their own words, making this artwork a collective expression of identity, belonging, and understanding. As we celebrate National Reconciliation Week, this installation honours the world's oldest continuous living cultures and reminds us that reconciliation begins with listening, learning, respect, and meaningful connection.
