Mysterious Tudor Disease That Killed Everyone

Two brothers died an hour apart in a bishop's house at Buckden in the summer of 1551. Their mother rode hard to reach them and got there too late for both. The sweating sickness had been doing this to England since Bosworth, killing healthy adults between one meal and the next, sparing the frail while it emptied the beds of the strong. Henry VIII fled from house to house trying to outrun it. Prince Arthur may well have died of it. Then it simply stopped coming back, and five centuries later nobody can say what the thing actually was.
