Recipe: Jerky Beef Escondidinho with Cassava Preparation time: 3 hours | Serves 6 Ingredients: 1 kg of beef jerky, cut into cubes 1 kg of cassava 5 sliced onions 2 cloves of garlic, minced 1 teaspoon of dried Calabrian pepper 200 g of creamy cream cheese 100 g of butter 100 ml of olive oil Preparation: Cook the jerky in 1 liter of water for 10 minutes after it reaches pressure. Drain, cook again with 1.5 liters of water for 20 minutes until tender. Remove the meat and reserve the broth. Cook the cassava in the broth until tender. Remove the cassava from the creamy broth, remove the shreds, stir in the cream cheese, and mash coarsely. Sauté the meat in olive oil, shredding it moderately. Add the onion, Calabrian pepper, and garlic, and sauté until the onion softens. Add the butter and stir well. Place the meat in a baking dish and cover with the cassava.
