I'm a Mom of 3 in Thailand — Here's Our Favorite Beach Day Trip from Hua Hin

KHAO KALOK BEACH We turned a boring errand into a fun family day out! 🌊🌿 We had an overdue water bill to pay in Pran Buri, so we decided to make a whole day of it with our three kids and we are so glad we did. Our first stop was Thao Ko Sa Forest Park (also known as Khao Kalok beach), a beautiful and refreshingly uncrowded beach about 30 minutes south of Hua Hin. We went on a Friday and it was peaceful and relaxed, definitely recommend visiting on a weekday if you can! The beach sits beneath a dramatically gorgeous cliff that creates natural shade, the water is warm, shallow, and super calm. Honestly a super safe beach for young kids. No strong currents, no big waves, just happy kids and a refreshing sea breeze. 🏖️ After the beach, we grabbed freshly made fruit shakes from a roadside stall. The watermelon shakes were a huge hit with the kids. We ended the day at Wandee Café 🌸, a charming little lunch spot and photo destination where the staff were kind and welcoming. The food was good, they brought out kids' plates, and the banana wonton dessert with whipped cream and chocolate drizzle is an absolute must-order. Trust us on that one!
