3,500฿ Luxury Resort vs. 400฿ Beach Camping | Thailand

We took a road trip down from Hua Hin to Thap Sakae and Hat Wanakorn National Park in Central Thailand for 2 nights. 1 night of luxury beach resort and 1 night of camping on the beach. Which one is more worth it? the 1st day we drove about 2 hours on our little motorbike (Yamaha P-G 1 for anyone interested) to The Bloc @ Sea. ince we checked in we basically had the entire place to ourselves. the pool was empty the beach was completely vacant beside a beach dog enjoying the sun. We had a beautiful view from our room with a super comfy bed, air con, bathroom with a warm shower and bath tub, our own fridge and a massive TV, not that we used it though. The 2nd day we head about 30 minute back up north to Hat Wanakorn National Park where we rented a tent and a camping spot in the beach for the night. Unlike the resort we didnt have the whole place to ourselves, but it was still super peaceful and relaxing. We still had an amazing view of the ocean from our tent. But we a small thin mattress, no air con, a short walk to a shared bathroom with no hot water, not that you need it in Thailands heat, and no fridge of course. But honestly if we had to decide which one was better, we couldn't choose. The resort was definitely more comfortable and convenient, but there something about being literally on the beach, under the trees, surrounded by nature, falling asleep and waking up to the sound of the soft crashing waves that you just dont get inside a luxury room, with walls, windows and the aircon blowing. I think the having the contrast between the 2 nights really made this weekend special and way more interesting than if we had just stayed at one place or the other for 2 nights. Getting to experience the comfort and convenience of the luxury resort as well as the immersive vibe of camping in thr beach made this weekend just what we needed and one we'll definitely remember. I'm still new to making YouTube videos and I'm not always sure what I'm doing but I've been in Thailand for 2 years now and I'm trying to make content that I both enjoy and I think people will find useful, helpful or entertaining. I remember before I was able to make it over here I would binge watch any and very video I could find about Thailand and this part of the world. It both inspired me to save up and make my way out here and served as a small dose of experiencing Thailand, although it was only through a screen. That’s what ultimately got me to finally move out here. After booking a 2 week holiday with a friend in 2023 to southern Thailand, I went back home and spent the next year planning, researching, saving and figuring out a way to make my travels to this part of the world more permanent. I plan on showing you guys a lot more of Hua Hin, the surrounding areas, and the rest of Thailand. I'm not big on the hustle and bustle of the city, the busy crowds and touristy areas, don't get me wrong I can enjoy them too, just in smaller doses. I love nature, the lesser known and untravelled parts of the world. I want to travel to parts of Thailand I've never seen on YouTube before and experiences the places I've already seen online for myself in person. If that sounds like a journey you'd like to be a part of then subscribe to follow along and let me know in the comments where you'd like to see me go or what you'd like me to talk about.
