You urgently need a plumber, Google "plumber" and your city, and voilà: you end up in the web of shady plumbers. At the top of the Google results are (almost) always ads from intermediaries linking you to "a plumber near me." Radar has been receiving complaints about these plumbers for years, or rather: guys with a car and a toolbox, who charge between €1,200 and €4,000 to fix a simple blockage or leaky pipe. How can people be better protected against these types?
