47593 with Saphos Trains "Golden Arrow" at Manningtree, 14th May 2025
Saphos Trains operated a dining special from Norwich to Canterbury West on 14th May 2025. The train was worked by 47593 "Galloway Princess". 57311 was at the rear morning and evening and did not appear to be taking part in propelling the train. Both locos are part of the Locomotive Services Limited fleet. Not seen in this video were BR Standard 7MT 70000 "Brittania" which worked the steam hauled section of the train later in the day. In the morning the train was 1Z31, 06:08 Norwich to Canterbury West and on the return it was 1Z34 15:55, Canterbury West to Norwich. Both morning and evening, 47593 made plenty of exhaust smoke and great Sulzer sound. [4K]
