Black History Celebration in Forney ( Live Show )

Black History Celebration in Forney ( Live Show ) Forney’s primary Black History Month celebration took center stage at The OC (Opportunity Central), bringing the community together through culture, creativity, and conversation. Hosted as a Forney ISD event, the celebration showcased a vibrant PreK–12th grade art exhibit, live student performances, and energetic appearances by local step teams. In collaboration with the Xi Delta Sigma Alumnae Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., the event highlighted the importance of honoring Black history while uplifting the voices and talents of the next generation. Sambaza Media Group added to the experience with a live show, engaging attendees in meaningful dialogue about what Black history means to them today. From reflections on heritage and resilience to expressions of identity and pride, the conversations captured the spirit of the celebration and its impact on the Forney community.
