German street food was an unexpected treat when I arrived in Leipzig, Germany. Not only is it plentiful, it's also tasty and cheap! The street food scene in many countries is either insane or non existent. Germany's street food scene is somewhere in the middle. In this video I bounce between Leipzig's Marktplatz and it's central station to try every street food option there is. Schnitzel, Frikadelle, Pretzel, Sausage, Currywurst, Rotisserie Chicken and of course, Doners! These options kept me fed for days without breaking the bank. I love to travel for the sights and the culture but the food is my real love. Germany doesn't just understand street food, it also gets cheap food.
