Jay Bae입니다. 지난주에 올린 온앤오프의 〈Open The Door〉 피아노 커버를 많은 분께서 좋아해 주시고 따뜻한 댓글과 응원을 보내주셔서 정말 감사했습니다. 🥹 〈Open The Door〉 못지않게 제가 좋아하는 온앤오프의 곡이 바로 〈Bye My Monster〉인데요. 황현 프로듀서와 함께 만든 이 곡은 클래식한 분위기와 강렬한 밴드 사운드가 어우러진 팝 댄스곡으로 라흐마니노프 교향곡 2번 3악장의 주제를 인용해 더욱 웅장하고 극적인 서사를 들려줍니다. 저는 2년 전 발매 당시 처음 듣자마자 노래가 너무 좋아서 취미로 유튜브를 하던 시절 휴대폰으로 촬영한 피아노 커버를 올린 적이 있는데요. 시간이 흐른 지금, 그때의 연주를 바탕으로 조금 더 정돈하고 더 좋은 화질과 음질로 다시 담아보고 싶어 이번 영상을 준비했습니다. 왼손에는 베이스와 드럼의 강한 추진력을 담고 오른손에는 보컬 선율과 화음, 스트링의 움직임을 겹겹이 채워 원곡 특유의 풍성하고 강렬한 풀 사운드를 피아노 한 대로 표현해 보았습니다. 이 좋은 곡이 더 많은 분께 알려지기를 바라는 마음과 지난 〈Open The Door〉 영상에 따뜻한 댓글과 응원을 보내주신 퓨즈 여러분께 감사하는 마음을 함께 담았습니다. 이렇게 명곡이 많은 온앤오프의 붐은 반드시 온다고 생각합니다. 다만 개인적인 바람이 있다면… 이왕이면 조금 더 빨리 왔으면 좋겠습니다. 😂 오늘도 제 연주를 들어주셔서 감사합니다. Thank you so much to everyone who enjoyed my piano cover of ONF’s “Open The Door” last week and left such warm and encouraging comments. 🥹 Another ONF song that I love just as much as “Open The Door” is “Bye My Monster.” Created with producer Hwang Hyun, the song combines a classical atmosphere with powerful band sounds. By incorporating a theme from the third movement of Rachmaninoff’s Symphony No. 2, it builds an especially grand and dramatic musical narrative. When the song was released two years ago, I fell in love with it immediately and uploaded a piano cover filmed on my phone back when YouTube was simply a hobby for me. Now, I wanted to revisit that performance with a more refined arrangement, improved video quality, and better sound. In this version, the left hand carries the driving bass and drum rhythms, while the right hand layers the vocal melody, harmonies, and string movements. My goal was to recreate the rich and powerful sound of the original song on a single piano. I prepared this performance both in the hope that more people will discover this wonderful song and as a small thank-you to the FUSE who left such kind comments and support on my “Open The Door” video. With so many incredible songs, I truly believe ONF’s big moment is bound to come. My only personal wish is that it arrives a little sooner. 😂 Thank you for listening today.
