Gimhae Int'l Airport(RKPK/PUS) VOR/DME-A, then Circling Rwy 18R

Gimhae Int'l Airport in Busan, Korea has a very unique approach, VOR/DME-A, then, Circle to land Rwy 18R. Instead of the normal 45 seconds downwind leg, Gimhae Rwy 18R Circling has only half of the leg, because of the terrains on the north of the airport. Back in 2002, China Eastern Airlines B767 crashed on the mountain during conducting LOC 36R, Circle to land on Rwy 18R. Several airplanes landed on the Rwy 18L, instead of Rwy 18R. Because of these accident/incidents, Authority developed a new procedure, VOR/DME-A. And Rwy 18R's threshold has been displaced approx. 2,000 ft.
