Epstein Affair: Panic at the White House "The lies that link me to that infamous person, Jeffrey Epstein, must stop today." While Donald Trump had asked Americans to "move on" from the Epstein scandal, Melania Trump surprised everyone on Thursday by calling a press conference at the White House. The First Lady denied any connection to the convicted criminal, despite rumors that Jeffrey Epstein had introduced Melania to Donald Trump. This press conference is the latest twist in a case that has significantly impacted the beginning of the president's second term. The man who initially promised to shed light on the case ultimately changed his mind, fueling rumors about his ties to the businessman, who died in prison in 2019. A week ago, Donald Trump fired his Attorney General, Pam Bondi, accusing her of having devoted too much energy and resources to investigating the affair. Meanwhile, Jeffrey Epstein's alleged victims are watching the White House's handling of the sex scandal with disgust. Among them is Lisa Phillips, 49. A former model and now host of the podcast "From Now On," she says she was raped by the businessman in 2004, when she was 21. During a photo shoot in the Caribbean, a friend suggested she go to the wealthy businessman's home. He allegedly sexually assaulted her there, along with another young woman. "He liked fear, that's for sure," she said. “He liked it, you know, the fact that we were paralyzed,” she told the French television program C dans l'air. After years of silence and denial, she finally decided to participate in the movement to speak out: “It was only after Jeffrey Epstein’s death that I had a breakthrough. That’s when I had my emotional breakdown, seeing on television that he was dead.” Furthermore, what ties did Jeffrey Epstein have with the Kremlin? Of the 3.5 million documents released by the U.S. Department of Justice in January, nearly 10,000 refer to Russia, and at least 1,000 to Vladimir Putin. Two exchanges, in 2011 and 2014, even mention meetings with the Russian president, although the meeting apparently never took place. The American sex offender had also become involved with Sergei Belyakov, a high-ranking Russian official trained at the FSB, the Kremlin's secret service. Why? Several historians are asking themselves this question... How can we explain Melania Trump's recent comments on the Epstein affair? How are the victims of the American sex offender experiencing the White House's handling of the case?
