Here we have a gentle video of a Class 25 diesel locomotive shunting a couple of trains in the Lower Marshalling Yard at Trenholme Junction in the North East of England in the 1960's. The time is when British Railways was changing from steam to diesel traction. The activity takes place around the two relatively new reception/despatch roads in the yard which allows trains to be received and despatched at either the north or south ends of the yard.
