Creation of an oversized fixed steady rest for the Ceriani class B lathe. The steady rest is made of raw iron, drawn iron, C40 steel, and bronze. The main body is made from a 114.3 x 17.5 x 32 mm thick tubing. The pins are 14 mm in diameter bronze, and the cylinders supporting them are made from 26 x 5 mm thick drawn tubing. All ferrous parts are joined using electric welding. The circular body of the steady rest is sectioned horizontally into two equal parts, joined by a hinge on one side and a mechanical lock on the other, consisting of a jointed tie rod and nut.
