My Weight Gain Journey: Skinny to Strong Body Transformation

I've always been one of the skinniest people in every room I've walked into. Growing up, my twin sister and I were just built that way. We ate whatever we wanted and nothing ever showed on our bodies, so I assumed I was healthy. It wasn't until a gallstones diagnosis in 2017, followed by Celiac disease, that I actually started paying attention to what I was eating and over time, my weight dropped with seemingly no way to get past it. But here's the thing: I don't want to just be thin anymore. I want to be strong. I'm 33 and I want toned arms, more muscle, and real reserves on my body for when life throws a curveball. I want to build that foundation now, before I hit 40 and it becomes so much harder for women to put on muscle mass. This is the very beginning of my intentional weight gain and lean bulk journey — building muscle through strength training, a caloric surplus, smarter nutrition, and working with a health coach, personal trainer, and dietitian. No crash eating, no shortcuts. Just a clean bulk focused on whole foods, high protein, and real strength training. If you've always been naturally thin, struggled to gain weight, or just want to get stronger, this series is for you. Welcome to Try Lifting with Lucie. We're just getting started!
