Kenshin and the feudal lords around Kinai moved against Nobunaga. Matsunaga Hisahide, known as the "warlord of the Sengoku period," saw this trend as an opportunity. Hisahide was a Sengoku warlord who had influence in Kinai even before Nobunaga rose to power, but he approached Nobunaga due to his conflict with the Miyoshi Triumvirate, and was later entrusted with the rule of the entire Yamato province. However, Hisahide, who was dissatisfied with this, took advantage of Takeda Shingen's anti-Nobunaga movement and raised the flag of rebellion, but when Yoshiaki was defeated, Hisahide also surrendered.
