Continuous rain has been reported from Bhubaneswar to Bargarh and from Malkangiri to Mayurbhanj. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a Red Alert for five districts—Kandhamal, Boudh, Angul, Sambalpur and Subarnapur (Sonepur)—warning of heavy to extremely heavy rainfall. An Orange Warning has also been issued for Kalahandi, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam, Nayagarh, Cuttack, Dhenkanal and Keonjhar, while the remaining 17 districts are under a Yellow Alert for heavy rainfall. Fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea due to rough weather conditions. The IMD expects rainfall intensity to reduce slightly tomorrow, though north and western Odisha may continue to receive heavy to very heavy rainfall.
