Dr Merav Rosenfeld-Hadad, Judaism and Islam One God One Music Brill 2019: International Book Launch

In this event, the history, music, religious life and the Paraliturgical Songs (Piyyutim) of the Jews of Muslim countries are discussed by the best scholars in the field: Professor Norman, Noam Stillman - the University of Oklahoma Professor Mark Kligman - the University of California, Los Angeles and Dr Gemma Simmonds - the University of Cambridge. This, followed by a recital by the renowned cantor Yeḥezqel Zion, Brooklyn, NY. Dr Merav Rosenfeld-Hadad concludes this event with a few words about her book. The musical background for the video is performed by the great cantor Mosheh Ḥabushah.
