Professor Avi Shlaim's Three Worlds Memoir of an Arab-Jew. Introduction by Dr Merav Rosenfeld-Hadad

AVI SHLAIM was born in Baghdad on 31 October 1945, grew up in Israel and went to school in London from the age of fifteen. A highly acclaimed historian of the Arab-Israeli conflict, and one of the New Historians of Israel, he is an Emeritus Professor of International Relations at St Antony's College, Oxford. His previous books include the critically acclaimed The Iron Wall and he writes regularly for the Middle East Eye and other outlets. Dr Merav Rosenfeld-Hadad, from the University of Cambridge, is a musicologist who specialises in the music, religion, culture and history of the Jews of Muslim countries, and their relations with their wider Muslim society and culture.
