Trying to Fix The Worst Locomotive Ever Made - LifeLike Tea Kettle
Two or so years ago E.B. Trains sent in this 1971 tea kettle from life-like which wouldn't run anymore. This locomotive type of locomotive is known for having reliability issues, possibly the worst. These are usually related to the gear box. this engine had its main gear slip at some point which ended up removing the threads. I had to get pretty creative finding spare parts as I don't know where you could find replacements.
