The Comanchero Empire: Australia's Outlaw Biker Kings

The story of the Comanchero Motorcycle Club, a group that would eventually grow into one of the most powerful outlaw biker organizations in the Southern Hemisphere, actually begins thousands of miles away in the rough streets of Glasgow, Scotland. William George "Jock" Ross was born on August 5, 1943, into a working-class family in Glasgow's infamous Gorbals district. During the mid-twentieth century, the Gorbals was known for overcrowded tenements, deep poverty, constant street violence, and an unwritten rule that people kept their mouths shut. Growing up in that environment had a lasting impact on Ross. His father, a local lorry driver, taught him a tough approach to life, and Ross would later say that in the Gorbals, backing down from a fight simply wasn't an option
