The name UNIDOL originates from "UNIversity iDOL," and it is a competition held under the concept of "ordinary female university students taking to the stage as 'idols' for one night only." The first competition was held in 2012. The scale has expanded year by year, and currently, national preliminary rounds are held in five regions across Japan: Hokkaido, Kanto, Tokai, Kansai, and Kyushu. With annual attendance exceeding 25,000, it has grown into Japan's number one student event. To date, leading Japanese idol groups such as AKB48, =LOVE, and Juice=Juice have appeared as guests, adding to the excitement of the competition. -- ◆This year's theme This year's theme is "Sweet and cute is the ultimate reward ♡".
