Some interpreted this as a veiled compromise ensuring the continuation of the existing order. Others saw it not as a secret alliance, but as a political inertia and lack of vision produced by a strategy of "reconciliation" and rapprochement with the center-right, undertaken to avoid alienating right-wing voters. Perhaps the truth is one of these, perhaps neither… But what is undeniable is this: A great distance has emerged between the words spoken in public squares and the decisions made at critical moments determining the country's direction. That distance is what has given rise to this suspicion today. Because politics is judged by results, not intentions. And the result is clear… At the end of every major crisis, the government's room for maneuver has expanded somewhat. People have rightly begun to ask the question: Was this really just a political mistake, or was history writing a different story and we were being deceived?
