Powerful Nebuta Museum, Aomori [Japan Travel🇯🇵]
I visited "Nebuta Museum WA RASSE", where you can experience Aomori's traditional Nebuta, "Auga Fresh Market", where you can enjoy fresh local seafood, "A-FACTORY", where you can enjoy Aomori's famous apples, "Utou Shrine", a historic shrine, and "Seiryuji Temple", famous for its giant Buddha. During the trip, I enjoyed Aomori's fresh fish, such as seafood rice bowls, grilled miso on a scallop shell, and grilled fish. 0:00 Opening 0:10 Shin-Aomori Station 0:50 Nebuta Museum WA RASSE 4:34 Auga Fresh Market 5:32 A-FACTORY 6:11 Aomori Bay Bridge 7:25 Aomori Prefecture Tourism Information Center ASPAM 8:15 Aoiumi Park 9:13 Utou Shrine 10:31 Seiryuji Temple ◾️Nebuta Museum WA RASSE This is a facility where you can experience the history and charm of the Aomori Nebuta Festival all year round. Inside the building, real, large-scale Nebuta floats that actually paraded through the streets in the most recent festival are on permanent display, allowing you to admire their overwhelming scale and delicate sculptural beauty up close. In addition, the sound of the festival music echoing throughout the building creates a realistic festival atmosphere, and on weekends, events are held where you can try your hand at being a Haneto (dancer) or playing the festival music. It is a space where you can feel the passion of the artisans and the excitement of the festival firsthand. Access from Aomori Station is also excellent, making it a classic, must-visit spot for Aomori City sightseeing that you can easily drop by while enjoying nearby sightseeing, gourmet food, and souvenir shopping. ◾️Auga Fresh Market This is a lively market spreading across the B1 floor of "Auga", a commercial facility located in front of Aomori Station. A wide variety of fresh local seafood, dried goods, and side dishes are lined up, and it bustles with local customers and tourists from early morning. The fresh seafood rice bowls enjoyed inside the market are also exquisite. ◾️A-FACTORY This is a stylish market featuring an onsite cidery (apple wine workshop) that uses apples grown in Aomori Prefecture. In the sophisticated, glass-walled building, sweets made with apples and specially selected local specialties are lined up, making it the perfect spot for choosing souvenirs or going on a date. ◾️Aomori Prefecture Tourism Information Center ASPAM This is a triangular landmark inspired by the "A" of Aomori. Featuring one of the largest souvenir corners in the prefecture, an observation deck on the 13th floor, and a 360-degree 3D theater, it is an information hub where you can get all of Aomori's tourism and product information. ◾️Aoiumi Park This is an open waterfront park overlooking Mutsu Bay, stretching out behind ASPAM. It is a place of relaxation for citizens where you can enjoy strolling and taking in the views while feeling the pleasant sea breeze. At night, the Aomori Bay Bridge is lit up, showing a romantic appearance. ◾️Utou Shrine This is a historic, ancient shrine considered to be the birthplace of Aomori City. "Utou Pond" spreads across the grounds, and it is also known as a power spot where famous natural water springs forth. In addition to safety for the family and traffic safety, it has been worshiped since ancient times as a god of the sea. ◾️Seiryuji Temple This is a temple where the "Showa Daibutsu", one of the largest seated bronze Buddha statues in Japan, is enshrined. The power of the Buddha statue, which reaches a height of 21.35 meters, is breathtaking. In the vast grounds where nature is beautiful in every season, there is also a magnificent five-story pagoda built entirely of Aomori Hiba cedar, creating a peaceful space.
