【馬山・五ヶ所浅間山 登山】2026年の干支、午年(うまどし)にちなんだお山ということで人気上昇中の『馬山（まやま）』に！馬山下山後、天空の鳥居がある五ヶ所浅間山にも登ってみました　2026年3月

Mount Mayama/Gokasho Asama-yama (Minamiise-cho, Watarai-gun, Mie Prefecture) Mount Mayama is gaining popularity as it's associated with the Year of the Horse (Uma-doshi) in 2026! Recently, Kazu has been posting about it frequently on Instagram, so it seems to be quite popular. This is because, in addition to being the mountain of the zodiac, the view from the summit of Mount Mayama is said to be magnificent. After all, you want to climb a mountain with a great view from the summit, right? Incidentally, Mount Mayama is also selected as one of the 100 Mountains of Tokai! So, we parked our car at the Aisu-no-yakata parking lot at the foot of Mount Mayama and started our trek! We climbed the stairs with the scary name "Training Stairs" towards Mount Mayama. Even after that, a very steep climb awaited us just below the summit of Mount Mayama... Even though Mount Mayama is a low mountain at an altitude of 198m, you shouldn't underestimate it... . As expected from the information I had beforehand, the view from the summit of Mt. Uma was magnificent, and the intricate, mysterious landscape of the ria coastline was a sight I could gaze at forever without getting bored. After descending from Mt. Uma, I headed to Mt. Gokasho Asama! Mt. Gokasho Asama has a torii gate at its summit, which is called the "Torii Gate in the Sky," and it's really nice! However, a steep climb awaits just below the summit. Perhaps a trial is necessary to encounter such a spectacular view... After somehow overcoming the steep climb and reaching the summit of Mt. Gokasho Asama, there it was—the Torii Gate in the Sky! And beyond that torii gate, a breathtaking view unfolded! It was absolutely magnificent!! So, both Mt. Uma and Mt. Gokasho Asama were wonderful mountains! Why not try climbing them sometime in 2026, the Year of the Horse!!
