B&T GHM9-SD | Ultra-Quiet Swiss Unicorn in 9mm

The B&T GHM9-SD is an extremely rare and ultra quiet 9mm PCC built with premium Swiss engineering precision. This firearm took 27 months to complete from the day I decided I wanted it to the day I was able to experience it in its final glorious configuration. Similar to the B&T (Brügger & Thomet) APC9 Pro, the GHM9 is a direct blowback firearm that uses a hydraulic buffer to reduce felt recoil. The ultra rare SD Kits are highly desirable and very difficult to come by. They come with a ported barrel, SD suppressor and over-sized M-LOK handguard to allow the suppressor to tuck underneath. The end result is an incredibly quiet and soft shooting 9mm pistol caliber carbine that bleeds off gasses from the ported barrel to reduce the velocity of supersonic ammunition to make it subsonic. This means you can use relatively low cost supersonic 9mm range ammunition and have it run nice and quiet, without needing to hunt down more expensive subsonic ammunition. The technology used here is nearly identical to the technology made famous by the HK MP5-SD. It's really interesting, and tons of fun. Also adding to the uniqueness of this particular firearm, I'm using a B&T APC9 Pro lower receiver, which features fully modern ambidextrous controls and a swappable pistol grip, and I've also installed an Elftmann Pro trigger, B&T vertical grip, B&T telescoping stock and Trijicon RMR 3.25moa red dot. In this video I fired over 260 rounds with excellent reliability. In addition to the range time, I also did some ammo and sound testing with various loads using a chronograph, and compared the results directly against the APC9 Pro with a Dead Air Wolfman. The results were very interesting! The B&T GHM9-SD is easily one of my favorite guns in my collection, and certainly one of the most unique. It's not as quiet as an MP5-SD, but it still sounds amazing and does things that none of my other firearms will do. I absolutely love it.
