Belts, backlights and bad beams - another 'simple' fix proves tricky
This NAD C 521BEE was sent to me by Donald who explained that the tray wasn't working properly and it wouldn't read a disc. It sounded simple enough, but my simple fixes never seem to go that way and this was no different. It was partly because I also decided to restore the missing backlight, even though Donald hadn't mentioned it. I was expecting a failed incandescent bulb - but this model is from 2003 and features an electro-luminescent backlight... something I hadn't previously dealt with.
