Modern Trains in San Bernardino: Arrow

Support us on   / trainsareawesome   ! Arrow opened on October 24, 2022. What is Arrow? It’s a 9-mile commuter rail line that runs between San Bernardino and Redlands, CA. It essentially acts as an extension of the Metrolink network. Metrolink and passes are valid on Arrow. What’s interesting about this line is that instead of classic locomotive-hauled trains, Arrow uses trainsets. These FLIRT trains (yes, I will explain the acronym in the video) are built by Swiss manufacturer Stadler. They’re a very popular train in Europe, and are slowly starting to be seen more in the US.
