This is a guide to Shima Onsen for a couple in their 50s (Part 1). Our stay this time was at "Shima Onsen / Yumoto Shimakan," a ryokan beloved by literary giants (such as Dazai Osamu). It's 100% natural hot spring water! We chose this inn because it offers seven private open-air baths, all of which can be enjoyed for free.
