I discovered a secret tunnel in my home. Looks like a mini-disaster has occurred. As the wind pushes dust across the job site, the excavator arm on my wheeled Rubber Duck creaks into motion. Hydro pump, bearings squeal. The trommel drum spins slow, deliberate, relentless — separating waste from clean earth. The tracked conveyor hums low, moving cleaned soil into a giant pile for re-use. The Animals had caused a lot of damage.. always crawling forward like a predator. Its time to reclaim the soil and remove the contaminants from years of chewing. Its a big job, but I have time - to take my time No shouts. No chatter. Just machines, and a man enjoying some labor. These machines are full miniature hydraulic, each weighing at least 20lbs. It’s industrial reclamation in miniature — all metal excavators, loaders, a trommel screening plant, tracked conveyors, and even a deluxe hook truck. Every piece works in unison to take what was tainted and make it clean again. I could have used my full-size machines. But sometimes, you don’t call in the cavalry. Sometimes, you send one man. One fleet. And you do the job quiet. The Process: Digging: Hydraulic excavator peels back layers of debris. Loading: Wheel loader feeds the trommel’s rotating drum. Screening: Fiberglass and rubble are shaken free; soil falls clean. Hauling: Conveyor moves waste aside; hook truck carries the rest. Restoring: Earth — separated, silent, still. The world doesn’t know what to make of it. Toys? No. This is steel, hydraulics, and grit scaled down — not for play, but because I wanted to see if it could be done.
