Most people would’ve grabbed a shovel and been done in 15 minutes. But that’s not me. I’ve spent almost two decades building RC videos, and when I see a simple job like patching my driveway, I see a chance to take RC’ing to the next level. I rolled out my fleet of 1/14th scale, all-metal, hydraulic machines — real workhorses that have the miles and patina to prove it. The Wheel Loader filled the Volvo Rock Truck again and again. I dumped the loads into the sinkholes, the Dozer spread it smooth, the Water Truck soaked the mix, and the Vibrating Roller — splashed with diesel for realism — packed it down like it was born for it. Hours of tamping, controller in hand, no shortcuts. And the results shocked even me. These weren’t toy moves — these machines actually did the job. Think about it: those sinkholes were 14 times larger in scale than what these trucks were designed to handle. Yet they pulled it off. Is it over the top? 100%. But that’s the point. Anybody can patch a hole. Only the father of RC videos takes his machines out of the sandbox and onto real jobs. Because this isn’t just playing RC… this is functional RC.
