We have always been curious about what an abandoned Japanese town is like so we head deep into the mountains of Kyushu to see an abandoned town in Japan for ourselves. No one has lived in this Japanese abandoned town for over 30 years. The town is extremely remote and difficult to access and we could only reach the town by foot. Due to it's remote location this settlement became an abandoned town in Japan when it's inhabitants moved away to a city where there were more work opportunities. In recent years, more and more Japanese abandoned houses and villages are appearing due to population decline and younger generations preferring life in cities.
