Trying rare Japanese cuisine in our camper van in Japan. In this van life Japan video, we leave Ishikawa prefecture and head to Toyama prefecture to continue Japanese camper van life and reach our goal of visiting all 47 Japanese prefectures. Upon arriving in Toyama ken, we meet a Toyama local who gives us some insider knowledge about local Toyama cuisine and we decide to try it for ourselves. Receiving local knowledge is one of our favourite parts of our camper van trip in Japan because it provides us with a much more authentic experience. Since we do full time van life in Japan, we often cook in our van since we enjoy it and it helps to keep us healthy. While travelling Japan by van, we can often pick up local Japanese ingredients and it's fun trying to cook them ourselves.
