Northern Italy on Moto Guzzi V7 | Solo Motorcycle Trip – Day 3
Day 3 of my solo motorcycle trip across Europe starts in Tarvisio, a small Italian town right on the border with Austria. I headed west along the scenic SS13, which took me to Pontebba. From there, I rode up a stunning mountain road towards Paularo—full of twists, breathtaking views, and exactly the kind of ride my Moto Guzzi V7 was made for. Halfway up, I was suddenly stopped by… snow! I hadn’t even realized how high I’d climbed. With the road blocked, I had no choice but to turn back. No regrets, though—the views on the way down were just as spectacular. Back in Pontebba, I rejoined the SS13 and continued west. Riding through incredible roads like the SP41, I made a stop at Lago di Cornino—a hidden gem with crystal-clear, emerald-colored water, perfect for a quick break and some photos. Later, on the SP61, I had a small mishap. While attempting a U-turn, I lost balance and dropped the bike. Thankfully, nothing serious happened, and a kind couple I’d passed moments earlier helped me lift the V7 back up. (Grazie mille!) The weather kept getting worse, but the route remained beautiful. I passed through charming Italian towns and cities like Fregona (where I stopped for some amazing pomodoro pasta), Valdobbiadene, and Bassano del Grappa, before finally reaching Verona at the end of the day. It was a demanding day, full of challenges, unexpected turns, and unforgettable views. I covered around 425 kilometersand decided to stay in Verona for two nights to recharge and explore this iconic city for the first time. What’s next? Stay tuned for the next episode as I continue west, chasing new roads, stories, and scenery on my Moto Guzzi V7. — 🎬 Chapters: 00:00 On today’s episode… 01:00 Leaving Tarvisio – scenic ride to Pontebba on SS13 04:00 Climbing towards Paularo on a stunning mountain road 07:15 Snow ahead – the road is blocked 09:50 Back on scenic SS13, heading further west 12:04 Fuel stop, curves of SP41 and Lago di Cornino 13:24 Through charming Italian towns and villages 17:15 A sudden drop – incident on a twisty SP41 road 22:01 Gloomy skies over northern Italy 25:00 Riding through rain, ending the day in Verona — 📍Trip map (updated as the journey continues): https://www.google.com/maps/d/viewer?... ▶️ Watch the full series: • Poland to Austria via Czechia on Moto Guzz... 🔔 Enjoy motorcycle travel?
