Italy Bicycling: Bellagio loop 4K

Today we are visiting the beautiful town of Bellagio on Lake Como. Starting out from the docked ferry, we enter Bellagio and promptly leave town for the hills. From Lake Como at 210 m elevation, we climb up to nearly 1000 m, reaching Piano Ranchio. From there we have a delightful descent to the town of Magreglio. It is home to the church of Madonna del Ghisallo, who is the patroness of cyclists. This hill and location has become a frequent feature of Giro di Lombardia and Giro d'Italia races. Next to the church is a bicycling museum worthwhile a visit. We take a small detour over the cobblestones of the adjacent park to get a better view of church and museum. From there it goes further down, all the way into Bellagio. We traverse the old town which at this time of day has become a tourist pedestrian zone. After navigating the foot traffic, we conclude at Punta Spartivento, with views of Lake Como on three sides and the Lugano Prealps ahead. Don't forget to turn on 4K quality via the settings button!
