Spring Tablescape | DIY Riser | Crackle Paint Finish | Easy Cottage Decor | Coffee Filter Cabbages

Today we are creating a lovely Spring Tablescape with several quick and easy craft projects! And, I’m using vintage thrifted plates as the color inspiration for our DIYs. ~ Extra Large Farmhouse Riser made from a 2x10x4 wood plank, and Craft Finials as feet purchased from Lowes. The amazing, crackled finish starts with a coat of Waverly Chalk Paint in the color Truffle. Once dry, Valspar Weathered Crackle Glaze is added and allowed to tack up for an hour. The magic happens once we begin applying our final coat of Waverly paint in the color Plaster. ~ Lovely Napkin Rings are fashioned from wood beads (color washed in Plaster) and pipe cleaners. ~ A Thrifted Curtain Panel becomes beautiful napkins for my place setting. Cut into 16x16 inch squares and finished with sweet ivory eyelet trim. ~ I share my favorite technique for creating beautiful, budget-friendly candle rings. ~ Inexpensive Plastic Eggs from Hobby Lobby become High End Home Decor with a little paint and Iron Orchid Designs and Prima Moulds. ~ Finally, we create the most ADORABLE Cabbages using Coffee Filters that have been dyed using Waverly Chalk Paint in the Colors Moss and Fern.
