Crack Contact. Präsentationsvideo: Interessante frz. Kapselrolle, 60er Jahre. Teil 1: Auseinanderbau

Today, something special again, another spectator reel: a Crack Contact closed-face reel from France, I suspect from the second half of the 1960s, but I'm not entirely sure... Interesting design, interesting features in detail. The line is released by turning the handle backwards. On the right side of the reel, there's a button to lock the gears for assembly or disassembly. The drag knob is mounted on the lower left side of the housing. All in all, very intriguing and, typically French, one might say, quite unusual. And that means once again: this isn't really a maintenance video, but rather another show & tell video. I'm not completely disassembling the reel down to the last screw. To be honest, that was too risky! What if something goes wrong, or I can't put it back together...? In this video, the reel is disassembled as far as I felt responsible, and reassembled in the second part.
