1 Saint-Jean to Roncesvalles | short version | Camino Santiago

This is the short version time lapse of the first étape of the Camino Francés. Beginning in Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port, passing Orrison and walking over the Pyrenees all the way to Roncesvalles. What a beautiful but also physically challenging start. All étapes/videos to Santiago de Compostela are going to be uploaded over the next days and weeks. After many journeys on the Camino de Santiago in the past ten years, this time the focus lies on the video project. Thus not a lot of stopping during the étapes (some breaks and encounters are cut out). COVID-19: Filmed in the summer of 2020 when Spain and the camino including most albergues were open again for a few weeks after the first lockdown. Masks in all albergues, bars/restaurants and when crossing cities. There will likely never again be as few people on the camino as in summer of 2020. Hope you enjoy the video.
