Tuesday, May 19, 2026 NTT Provincial Government Holds Funeral Ceremony for the Late Alexander Koroh The East Nusa Tenggara Provincial Government held a funeral ceremony for the late Drs. Alexander Berthianus Koroh, MPM, Head of the NTT Provincial Community and Village Empowerment Office, at the Sasando Building of the NTT Governor's Office on Tuesday (May 19, 2026) at 1:00 PM WITA. An atmosphere of deep emotion and sorrow enveloped the entire series of ceremonies honoring the deceased, known as a highly dedicated civil servant and devoted to the people of East Nusa Tenggara. The funeral ceremony was led by the Acting Regional Secretary of NTT Province, Flouri Rita Wuisan, as the ceremony inspector. Also present at the ceremony were the Chairperson of the NTT Provincial DPRD, Emilia Nomleni, all heads of regional government agencies (OPD) within the NTT Provincial Government, Kupang City, Kupang Regency, and other regions in NTT, civil servants (ASN) of the NTT Provincial Government, and the deceased's extended family. In the Governor's remarks, read by the Acting Regional Secretary of NTT Province, it was conveyed that the deceased was a dedicated figure who worked with his heart and made the bureaucracy a space of public service. "The deceased did not merely carry out administrative duties. He lived his service. He understood that every government policy must ultimately lead to the welfare of the community, especially rural communities," the remarks stated. It was also conveyed that the deceased concluded his journey of service while still actively carrying out his state duties. His passing on duty is a true testament to the loyalty and dedication of a civil servant until the end of his life. The remarks also recalled the deceased's final message to his fellow civil servants regarding optimism for developing NTT and support for village development through the OVOP program. "On behalf of the East Nusa Tenggara Provincial Government, we express our deepest respect and gratitude for the deceased's dedication to this region," said the Acting Regional Secretary while reading the Governor's remarks. The ceremony continued with final tributes from regional leaders, a tribute to the deceased led by the Ceremony Commander, and the carrying of the coffin and the departure of the body to the burial site. At 2:30 p.m. WITA (Central Indonesian Time), the deceased's body was taken to the cemetery for a proper burial. Deep sorrow was felt by all civil servants within the NTT Provincial Government. The deceased's passing leaves behind a legacy of dedication, loyalty, and sincerity that will be remembered as an exemplary example in the East Nusa Tenggara Provincial government bureaucracy.
