The Indy/CART split is a a big part of racing history. How two series tried to grapple for supremacy in the US much like the Monday Night Wars had done for professional wrestling. In the end, one series emerged triumphant, buying the leftovers of the other series that went defunct. But when you look at the sport now, it's very reminiscnet of how it was before all that started. So... Was it worth the hassle in the first place? So I have a look at the overal story, include bits I haven't looked at before, and try to come to a conclusion.
