Fly Fishing Marco Island Backcountry | 10.11.2025 | The Avid Sportsman

Exploring new spots can be very hit or miss. Whether it's from word of mouth, driving past a good looking area on the highway, or scouring google maps, looks can be deceiving. Sometimes, it works out. Today, I set out on a mission to scout a new area, with the goal of catching a redfish on fly. Not knowing anything about this spot, simply finding a decent looking mangrove line, with a launch site nearby, I set out to accomplish this goal. Little did I know it would all come together.
