Rough Arrival into One of the World’s Least-Visited Countries

Today we took a ferry to one of the World's least-visited countries and things went downhill fast. After arriving in Guyana we spent all our cash taking a dusty bus ride to the next big town after the border. Here the plan was to hit the ATM but the bank was being rebuilt so we had to change our much needed US dollars. After finally getting some cash we checked ourselves into a truly awful hotel. Expensive, uncomfortable yet somehow the cheapest in town. Not wanting to spend another minute in our hellish room we went out for some food and found ourselves a Chinese restaurant claiming to have "the best food in town" After some strange service and average food in this extremely unappealing town we went back to our hotel to spend the night with the cockroaches and bed bugs.
