"Join us at Living Scapular for today’s devotion to Our Mother of Sorrows. On this Wednesday, July 22, 2026, we meditate on the Third Sorrow: The Loss of Jesus in the Temple. In this meditation, we enter into the three days of agonizing search as Mary and Joseph look for the child Jesus. We feel the weight of the Mother’s heart as she seeks the Source of her Joy, teaching us how to persevere when God feels hidden from our sight. We reflect on the anxiety of the separation and the relief of finding Christ in His Father's house. Through this Chaplet, we ask for the grace to always seek Jesus first in all things and for the return of all who have lost their way. The Third Sorrow: The Loss of Jesus in the Temple (Luke 2:43–45) What we pray for today: For those who have lost their faith or feel spiritually dry. For parents searching for wayward children. For the grace to always seek Jesus first in all things. About the Third Sorrow: This was a sorrow of profound anxiety. For three days, the Light of the World was hidden from His Mother’s eyes. Mary teaches us that even in the ""dark night of the soul,"" we must continue the search with hope until we find Him again in the Father’s House.
